We have chosen to use and implement the School of Tomorrow - Accelerated Christian Education System of Education - an instructional method in use for over 30 years by over 7,000 Christian schools in 123 countries worldwide. With this System of Education, the school also joins over 300 schools nationwide which have for the past 30 years have produced and continue to produce academically-qualified, globally oriented and morally-charactered students through this Program. As such, the Academy is backed up with the tools, resources and expertise of an international organization with over 30 years of experience.
The strength of the Program lies not in its being academically excellent, which it is! - but by the truths and character values of the Bible integrated throughout the curriculum.
We strive to train young people through a curriculum that honors Christ and shapes attitudes, through a dedicated and competent staff, in a safe environment.
Schools and homeschools around the world use the A.C.E. School of Tomorrow® program in the training of their children. The A.C.E. program consists of Bible-based K–12 curriculum, student programs, and professional training. Although other publishers have marketed academic curriculum, no one has produced a life-changing character package like that of A.C.E. Children’s minds develop best in a God-centered environment of absolutes and love. They emerge with a sweet attitude and with a greater, richer concept of God and how He wants them to live.
The concept of individualized learning was captured by Dr. Donald Howard in 1970. He and his wife, Esther experimented with various learning approaches in which children set personal daily academic goals in the five major subjects, then worked individually toward attainment by after-noon dismissal time. Each person was assigned a personal cubicle, called an office, and received adult assistance only as needed to clarify instructions, to make inquiry about problems or words, to get permission to sharpen pencils, or to take a test and the end of a unit of work. Dr. Howard devised a system of goals, controls, and incentives to help students focus on academic and social responsibilities.
Current studies describing academic problems (identified as “mediocrity”) which children experience in conventional government schools seem to indicate curriculum weaknesses between third and fifth levels. Junior and senior high school dropouts are usually academic dropouts by the fifth level.
The curriculum is anchored and built on the inspired, inerrant Word of God - the Bible - and is thus consistent with the theological and philosophical position of the school’s educational ministry. The basis of its philosophy of Christian education is the mandate in Deuteronomy 6:6-7, which reads: “And these words which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children…” Parents, and by extension - educators, are also instructed to “bring them up in the nature and admonition of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4)
